Inclusion team host staffroom coffee morning

On Friday 28th September staff from the Inclusion Team at The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College served up cakes and sweet treats to their colleagues as part of the world’s biggest coffee morning.

In total their efforts raised over £150 for Macmillan which will be sent to he cancer support charity.

According to Macmillan’s website, the first ever Coffee Morning was a simple event that took place in 1990. Since then the Coffee Mornings have raised over £200 million for Macmillan.

Alison Davies, Headteacher, said, “Once again this year we’re pleased to have been able to support a very worthy charity while enjoying a cup of coffee and slice of cake. I’d like to say well done to our inclusion team for organising a successful and enjoyable event.”
