A kind 12-year-old from The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College has recently had her long locks cut and has donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust.

Year 7, Phoenix House student, Grace Colledge had her hair cut by a local hairdresser and has sent her hair to the Hereford based charity who provide real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.

Alison Davies, Headteacher, said, “It is always nice to see young people doing nice things for others. Our students raise a lot of money for a range of good cause through activities organised by the school. However, some students, like Grace, support charities through their own initiative which demonstrates their kind nature and shows thoughtfulness.”

Miss Davies added, “Grace’s new hair cut suits her and I hope she is proud that her donation may help someone in difficult circumstances”.
